TED 5000 Firmware Upgrade
We are continually making enhancements and adding features to our TED 5000 system on a regular basis.
FIRMWARE UPGRADE:
In order to have the most up-to-date firmware for your TED 5000, we encourage you to check this site often for the latest and greatest updates.
Before upgrading your firmware, it is important that you know which version of firmware you CURRENTLY have.
To find out which version of firmware you presently have, do the following:
1. Open TED 5000 Footprints in your browser.
2. Click the HELP tab
3. Click ABOUT (What you need to know is your GATEWAY VERSION. (note the last 3 numbers of the version - if it is LESS than 200, please contact our office):
4. Click the following link(s) and download the update(s).
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE GATEWAY FIRMWARE (Download #1) PRIOR TO FOOTPRINTS FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
(This firmware update was published on September 1, 2010.) NOTE BEFORE DOWNLOADING NEW FILE: This new version will initiate a "RESET TOTALS TO ZERO" for the current billing period only, so we suggest that you download this firmware on/right after the first day of your billing cycle.
5. Open TED Footprints in your browser
6. Under ADVANCED tab, select UPDATE FIRMWARE
7. Load the Gateway file first. Click BROWSE to locate Gateway firmware update file you just downloaded.
8. When selected, press UPLOAD FIRMWARE
9. Wait for Progress Bar to reach 100%
10. Press Finish.
11. Download the Footprints file ONLY after you have COMPLETELY installed the Gateway file first.
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE GATEWAY FILE (Download #1) FIRST OR YOUR GATEWAY WILL MALFUNCTION.
12. Repeat steps 5-10 for the Footprints file.
13. Refresh browser for changes to take effect.
GOOGLE POWERMETER:
To activate Google PowerMeter, go to EDIT tab, and click "Activate Google PowerMeter." Follow instructions on your screen.
